Specialized Laboratory for Precious Metal Analysis

Ores: The naturally occurring noble metals such as gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) in ores as single element or as the composition or the enriched ores are analyzed.

Concentrates: The predominant elements Au, Pt and Pd are analyzed.

Intermediates: Various nature of intermediates are analyzed for a wide range of elements.

Metallurgical Products: Usually require compliance with guidelines or specifications for analysis.

Refining Material and Dental Scraps: They should be prepared to get into fine states before analysis of Au, Ag, Pt and Pd. Mercury (Hg) can be additional analysed in dental scraps.

Electronic Waste: Raw samples must be processed before analysis (See Sample Preparation). This procedure is then carried out for Cu, Au, Ag, Pd, in some cases also for Pt or other metals such as indium (In), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn) and antimony (Sb).

Catalysts: Two types of catalysts namely automotiv catalytic converters which contain Pt, Pd and Rh and industrial catalysts containing Pt, Pt/Re, Mo, etc., are analyzed.

Fine Metals and Alloys: A wide range of metals including Cu, Au, Ag, Pd, Pt, Brass (CuZn), Bronze (CuSn), Aluminum (Al), Nickel (Ni), Tungsten (W), Cadmium (Cd) and Indium (In) are offered to analyse.

Analysis of precious metals

Analysis of autocatalysts, industrial catalysts, electronic scrap of any kind, residues, electroplating baths, concentrates and many more.

Analysis of Metals

Ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ores, concentrates on iron (Fe), Ni, chromium (Cr), Mo, Au, Ag, Pt, Pd, silicon (Si), aluminium (Al) etc.

Analysis of Rare Earths

In minerals and in all kinds of recycling materials we analyze the rare earth elements from lanthanum (La) to lutetium (Lu).

Trace Analysis

Investigation of pure and ultra-pure metals such as Au, Ag, Pd, Pt, Cd, Al and others with ICP-MS and detection limit down to ppb (ng/g) level. We would like to refer here to our sister company Elmaspecs GmbH, www.elmaspecs.de, which performs exclusively ultra trace analysis.

Sampling

We carry out statistically based sampling within Germany and abroad, using qualified colleagues (sworn samplers) as subcontractors

Commercial Chemist

Under the supervision of our authorized representative, Mr. Wolfgang van Leeuwen (Dipl.-Lab.-Chem.), who is publicly appointed as sworn expert by the regional Chamber of Industrie and Commerce (IHK) for chemical analysis in commercial purposes, we are able to run routine and umpire analyses of the precious metals, Cu etc..

Sample Preparation

If you have raw or semi-prepared raw materials for the analysis, we can prepare your samples at our sample preparation unit to produce samples for the analysis. In our company we are able to process raw samples up to several 1000 kg.
